How to change background of login screen?

Is there a file somewhere that I can change?
$ sudo apt install lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings
$ gksudo lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings

Do you happen to know if the loading screen image/animation is changeable as well? The image/animation which is presented before the login screen.

I have never tried myself, but this[1] might help.

I got it to change the background of the loading screen when shutting down, but it's the same Flidas artwork when turning on haha, peculiar.
I noticed that when the computer had been idle and got locked there was a different login screen then the one I changed. Do you know anything about this?

mate-screensaver doesn't have a feature to change the background of the
lockscreen. In 2017 a patch was added that makes it so that the
background matches your desktop background,[1] but the change was made too
late to be present in Flidas. Etiona will have it. The link below
includes some workarounds you might try.

Oh, ok. I'll have a look at it, thak you once agina:)
If anyone else sees this and is interested I followed the steps of user stethewwolf and edited the image located at /usr/share/backgrounds/flidas.jpg which solved it :)
Now the only thing missing to customize is the dialog box on Lock Screen =D If anyone here has any tips, please do shout out!

Sorry, I'm not sure how. I use i3lock-color[1] instead of
mate-screensaver.
Does using that program give you a different login dialog box than the one in MATE Lock Screen?
