Well, The kernel that ubuntu ships with server version, has just
minor differences with the kernel for desktop version...

Thats the link, maybe the whole distro (packages and all the
configuration) are
optimized for server tasks. But if you are interested just in the kernel,
maybe
you can "cook" a kernel with the options mentioned in the previous link.

I realized I couldn't edit my post when I meant "server edition" because you guys apparently have a kernel at http://packages.trisquel.info/taranis-updates/linux-image-server which I think has the same optimizations as the official ubuntu one?

If that has the exact same optimizations as the official server, I shall insert foot into mouth right about now. I do think it would be nice to have a server edition though. :-)

P.S. I may even recommend a server edition to my local webhost if it existed.
