IceDove did not install ! Error message.

Hello all. Been using Trisquel happily (as a novice, end user) for some time. Been a few bumps, but I usually figure it out with a little help from my friends.
But now I've run into a bit of snag.
My OS was acting a bit buggy, so I decided to just wipe and do a fresh Trisquel install. Updated my files using Deja-Dup, and did a wipe and fresh install.
All well and good except one thing: the new install did not install my mail client! Bit of a problem there as I need to have my email history at hand, not to mention just get my mail.
I attach the error message.
How do I resolve this? I cannot retrieve the .thunderbird file from Deja-dup in order to drop them into the fresh Icedove client.
Thank you for any insights.

And sorry: I see that I had this problem some time ago. I would still like your thoughts, as that didn't work for me back then.
I think I need to run the program "Icedove->Thunderbird" from the menu of the new install, BEFORE I run my Restore, so the Restore has a place to put my mail files.
Not sure if I need to rename the target folder from .Thunderbird to '.Icedove' but I'll try that next if it doesn't work.

Try move the whole content of ~/.thunderbird to ~/.icedove
Thank you, Magic.
Do you mean move the content of .thunderbird folder INTO the .icedove folder? And so replace the .icedove content?
Even simpler: you can rename ~/.thunderbird into ~/.icedove (after (re)moving the existing ~/.icedove).
Thank you, I will try that last one.
But I want to check first: you indicate "~/.thunderbird" and "~/.icedove" , but I do not see those listed directly under File System. I have to go to "/usr/lib/" in order to see the folders:
"Icedove"
"Icedove-addons"
"Thunderbird"
Am I to use these folders? Or MUST they be ".icedove", ".thunderbird" (with a ".") ? If so, I cannot find them.
I have 'Show hidden files" activated.

For the shell, "~" is shorthand for "your home folder". Also, a file/folder whose name starts with "." is hidden. For instance, "~/.icedove" is the hidden folder named ".icedove" that is right into your home folder. If you use a graphical file manager, you can show the hidden files/folders with the corresponding entry in the menu and Ctrl+H is the usual keyboard shortcut to do the same.
That did it! Thank you so much!
