Hello,

I am new by trisquel so sorry that I have not so much knowledge yet.
I installed KVM fresh after this tutorial: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/virtualization-using-kvm
and i install Ubuntu 14.04 so I can use the adobe flash player. (I need it to test some work ... :( )
The problem is, that I no sound from the KVM.

How can I solve it and is that a problem from ubuntu or KVM?

Thanks for you help.

PS:
I testet this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Virtualization_problems#Audio_output but it doens't helped me.

This isn't the answer you're looking for, but anyway:
You can use Flash in Trisquel.

Please don't use it though, anywhere you can. It's non-free.

Can I install flash via apt-get or should I download it manual?

You will not get here any help with the installation of proprietary software. That is because we consider that would not be helping at all. Proprietary software is the problem. It is never the solution.

Sorry Magic Banana, I know that proprietary software is a probleme on this fact I choose trisquel!
Is it so horrible to help me to get sound on KVM?

KVM is free software. We (well, not me: I have never used KVM) can help you with that. We will not "help" you with the installation of Adobe Flash.

I guess you should first tell us if you have no sound at all or just no sound with Adobe Flash.

Thank you.
On KVM I have general no sound.
In KVM I chosse all sound settings from ac97 to sb16 but it doensnt solve my problem.
Furthermore I found this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Virtualization_problems#Audio_output
I changed my settings to: vnc_allow_host_audio = 1 but this doenst helped me ...

I develop software and write articel for some magazines.
Actuall I programm 100% non free software and I want to try by step by step to change it, but its hard :(

Youtube works well with IceCat but with Midori its crash quite often.

it's not only that it is non-free but it is a security and privacy threat

Thank you, you open my eyes.
But the problem is still there, why I can get no audio output from KVM?

Does that mean you are developing Flash "solutions" (I would say "problems") that do not even work with free software (such as Gnash)? If so, that is disgusting.

--- CLOSED ---

I decided to remove my virtual machine, because I would install non-free software.
I choose KVM now to test some linux settings, so I need no sound.

Don't install non-free software.
But to get sound from your VM you would need add a sound hardware emulator.
VM - View -> Details -> Add hardware -> sound - model:default

martago - in the last two years, this was my experience:

two years ago (almost) - took the windows 7 original dvd and a hammer (i swear it's true) - smashed it in little pieces. it was similar to an orgasm - very satisfying!!
Immediately after that removed ubuntu which I was using for few days and installed linux mint because I hated unity - liked it very much and for a few months used it alongside some proprietary shit (like skype)

a year and a half ago (give or take) - started to distrohop like a drunk rabid rabbit and rejected any and all proprietary applications. At first it was hard but soon I learned how to live without it and to install "opensource" (i was an opensource advocate then) alternatives for everything. I really liked Xubuntu. Learned the most using debian. hard and sublime debian...

3 months ago - read a book on stallman and decided not to ever again use anything but free software (so no blobs, no proprietary drivers). Used gnewsense a couple of weeks. Then installed Trisquel.
And I will tell you - I didn't have to sacrifice anything this time - I do anything I need with Trisquel and there is nothing that I could do with proprietary software that I can't do now..

the point of this monolog - freedom takes some research and sacrifice but in the long run you will have freedom without having to sacrifice anything for you will have learned how to do everything you need using only free software!!
:)
