I have done so on an X200, you have to change, the hd0, to whatever the usb's name is,

I tthink typing in the command line of libreboot this command,

ls

will show what disks are there,

Hope this helps.

I have done this in the past... :)

e -> ls returns usb0 Do you know what to do in
order to get the computer to boot the usb0 device?

Yeah, replace hd0, with usb0, and then press f10.

Keep in mind, you have to do that for all mentions of hd0 in the usb...

That is what I would do, but you must edit from the menu of the operating system you intend to load via usb.

I cannot exactly explain better without getting out my libreboot laptop, if you still need help, I will do so in the future, but I probably wont, its late right now... so yeah...

Can you tell where in the grub menu that is?

Where in the grub menu is that? If I select c and
then enter the command ls it returns about usb:
(usb0) (usb0,msdos1) error usb mass storage stalled

If I install a gnulinux system on an usb memory stick utilizing a non libreboot computer, it is not required
to edit anything in order to have a libreboot computer
boot the usb memory stick. You turn on the
libreboot computer and in the grub menu you select
the search grub2 configuration on external media
option. Then the gnulinux system on the usb memory stick
gets booted.

In short, this is about getting a libreboot computer to
boot the iso on an usb memory stick. I do not know how
to edit the iso. And I do not want to edit it.

Wait, just to be clear, you aren't saying you want to load a gnu operating system you installed on a usb drive?

I can explain how to do that, its not terribly hard, once you click on usb part of libreboot bios, once you are past that part to where the trisquel part is, aka, it gives you options to load whichever kernel you want, etc... immediately press e, that is where you need to make sure you do temporary modifications of what I said above to aka to boot off the gnu system you have on that usb.

But, if you intend to do load a live install image, for installing trisquel on something, then I am surprised pressing the usb option doesn't get you right into it.

Let me know your thoughts.

No. The scenario you describe works. If I select search grub2 configuration on external media in the grub2 menu, the
libreboot computer will boot and run a given
gnulinux system installed on the usb memory stick.

This is about an usb memory stick on which I have
burned a gnulinux iso installation image. I want to
utilize the usb memory stick to install a gnulinux system
on another usb memory stick. But the libreboot
computer does not boot the iso installation usb memory
stick. Can you get the libreboot computer to do
so? You will have to display what commands to write and
where in the grub menu to write them.

Hmm... you have to figure out which is which at change the usb boot to the right one I think?

Or actually... there is one way, that I thought of...

Try inserting the installation iso first and then putting in the usb, once the iso loads.

Then, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Which it does not.

Hmm... that is weird, which version of libreboot do you have?

If its the latest, aka the beta... there could be some bugs that need fixing and should be reported to Leah.
