I wonder why joindiaspora.com is not allowed with libreJS. Am I doing something wrong or can diaspora really only be used via non-free JS?

I have been made aware that the overall Diaspora project currently
doesn't seem to care that much about freeing the JavaScript that the
visitor/guest receives. While in the *server-side* the JS is received as
free/libre, because it has a copy of the license, a license notice, and
also the complete corresponding source. However, once one sets-up a
server for other people to visit and use, then these guests/visitors
have no guarantee of having those freedoms received yet again (either
because there is no clear indication of complete corresponding source
files --- noting that the server might also have changed it ---, or
because there is no license notice in the affected files).

What one could do is push/commit/send adaptations to the Diaspora
project itself so as to comply with best licensing practices.

There are also other projects which currently have this issue, like
MoinMoin, WordPress, and most Django Colab plugins.
