Hi, is here some way to use Lightscribe without proprietary library package?

Does that use a special DVD writer? If so, what make and model? I would look to see if the hardware is supported first.

This is a DVD/CD-ROM burner + lightscribe module laser inside. Lightscribe is a proprietary HP's technology. There "Qt lightScribe" or "Qlscribe" for design covers, but I see that if I want to use Lightscribe, I must to install proprietary HP's library package, I can not find some free replacement library.

What is the problem with Qt lightScribe?

Hi, as I can see, Lightscribe burning needs a non-free HP's shit blobs (non-free library). Anyway, it is not a good idea to use Lightscribe, for personal purposes. Cuz Lightscribe DVDs cost double or more. Lightscribe DVDs are not white printable DVDs, Lightscribe DVDs are gold.

This is the problem, here is no free library Lightscribe implementation.
