linux-generic-lts-wily in repos relies on linux-firmware. Is this a Linux Libre kernel?

I noticed the past month that the 4.2 kernel from Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily) has made its way into the Trisquel 7 repos and the 3 main ones are linux-generic-lts-wily, linux-image-generic-lts-wily, and linux-headers-generic-lts-wily.

Are these kernels scrubbed to be Linux Libre compatible like the previous ones or is the current build system just bringing these in because they are in the Ubuntu repos? I ask because the kernel packages require linux-firmware, which is not in the Trisquel repos and is generally associated with bringing in Ubuntu's linux-firmware package that includes free and potentially non-free firmware.

I just wanted to point this out so we can make the transition to the 4.2 kernel if you all want it. Like before, its good to have these in the official repos in addition to the one that jxself has to get the latest.

linux-image-generic-lts-wily seems to be dependant on it and it's just a metapackage.

The image itself doesn't seem to ask for that package, though I guess one probably wouldn't want to install just the image.

I don't have that dependency for that package. Maybe it was just a temporary hiccup?

There was a bug in the script for purging upstream, fixed in https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/ubuntu-purge/commit/9f5f10140a1fd67d69e7560415dbb1855f2bcaea and now cleaning up the repos.
