Could this be the answer to libre smartphones? Also nice if one could run this in old phones which are usable but without updates anymore. Or maybe if one want to install own OS to ones phone.

The problem with software freedom problem on phones is the software for the lower level components: The WiFi, bluetooth, camera, the software running on the radio that talks to the network, and etc. Not the high level operating system. We free ones of those already. What's needed are people to work on these lower level things.
