Are there any plans for a user-friendly fix for MTP support for media players? I previously used BLAG (another free distro) and my player (cowon d2) seemed to work out of the box. I've persevered with mtptools and also switching to msc mode (doesn't recognise it at all with that) but it feels like I'm banging my head against a wall somewhat. Any help much appreciated.

Both Banshee and Rhythmbox seem to offer something in this respect, but its painfully slow and unreliable on my hardware. Is there a way of amending nautilus to allow the media player to mount as a regular drive?
