I have a problem with the sound too, but somehow, it's less intrusive and well, if I changed it, what would I replace it with.
I have managed to remove the Trisquel Logo, got the Minimize and Maximize button to appear but they are not in the order I want them in and I still havin't found how to change the color of them :(
I also want to add a color to the scroll up/down thingy and change the color of when we select a repertory from the "Places" on the side and change it's background color too. I also would like the grey of my windows to be a little lighter. Is there an app to edit the colors ?
But over all Trisquel is looking really good :D ! Thanks guys :) !
The order of the buttons can be changed from 'dconf-editor'. It is "button-layout" in org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences. I believe the colors depend on the "theme" in the same schema. You may want to touch entries in org.gnome.desktop.interface too.
You can more easily choose another theme in "GNOME Tweak Tool" (in the "System settings"). There are many themes available on the Web. See http://gnome-look.org for instance. And you can create your own theme if you wish. quidam (Trisquel's leader) would probably be interested in an original work.
Creating my own theme would be nice, but, I am afraid it will just be to completcated for me and I have other priorities for now.
I just need to tweak a few colors and everything will look nicely, It stills looks quite oppresive for now.
I have already used dconf to make the minimize and maximize buttons appear but I do not find where to change the design. Make them smaller, bigger, closer together, further appart ? The path I am looking at is dcon -> org -> gnome -> desktop -> wm -> preferences and **** -> desktop -> interface as you have mentioned but haven't noticed anything :(
I have tried uck as a test for the future and did not expect so many errors, I got the usuable gfxboot error and now a theme parsing error, what does all that mean ? Am I missing dependencies, isn't it supposed to just work ? Strange peice of software..
