Hi.

I have recently installed T8 and I have booted it a few times. Some of the times it enters Grub and I can choose an image to boot and then it asks for a password to unlock the encrypted disk.
Sometimes it presents me with a graphical image that seems to contain an input box but it does not read my keypresses, at all.

Maybe there is something interesting on tty1: type Ctrl+ALt+F1 and see.

I switched to TTY1 just now when the screen appeared and the whole buffer is empty except for the cursor blinking.

...which means I still have the problem and no solution.

I would try to remove "splash" from the keywords passed to the kernel:
$ sudo sed -i 's/splash//' /etc/default/grub
$ sudo update-grub

Of course, you will lose the blinking trisquel during the init.
