Hi, ve been using Trisquel and learning Linux for months, but... well I'm bringing an old HP Deskjet F2280 and I would like to know if the thing will be like plug and play or if I should install/configure something. Told you so because I don t see any linux drivers on the cd's that came with this device. What kind of thing should I do to make this printer work?. Thanks in advance to those who could say something back!.

It should be supported by hplip in Trisquel. Plug it in and see if it is recognized.

You will only have a "Partial" level of support. I believe that only means "Reduced print quality and/or print speed". See http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/deskjet_aio/deskjet_f2200_series.html ("Support level" and "Unsupported feature(s)").

On Trisquel 7, you will not have to do anything to have the printer work (with that partial support). Plug and play.

For scanning, launch Simple Scan and try if it's functional.
