Hello everyone,

I made a fresh install 2 weeks ago, and I was using both GNOME and Xfce. Yesterday, I wanted to remove GNOME because I wasn't using it. After that, when I start my computer and enter my LUKS password, it stucks on bleeping Trisquel logo. If I press up arrow to see what's going on, the log is on the attachment.

I can only login to Xfce session with this way:

* Moving to tty1 (Ctrl+Alt+F1)
* xinit (it opens a xterm window)
* xfce4-session (on the xterm)

How can I get back the beautiful Trisquel login screen?

BTW: I'm using Trisquel 7.0 with Xfce 4.10 on a ThinkPad X200 w/ Libreboot

Thanks,
Özcan

Your display manager, LightDM, fails to start. There is probably something interesting written in /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log.

Any chance lightdm depends on gnome? You might want to check /var/log/apt/history.log (or ~.N.gz) to see if lightdm (or some other important package) was removed along gnome. Also "dpkg -l lightdm*" might help.

I'm not a Trisquel user (just guessing) so please take it with a grain of salt.
