Teaching others how they can be free is a very important task. Thank
you. :-)

Unfortunately I cannot find a way to view peertube videos without
running unaudited Javascript. So I have to do without peertube. Maybe
you could also publish them on archive.org.

I am not sure. But I think that Matías Fonzo (the developer of the
FSF-approved distro Dragora) is Italian. I bet that there are many more
activists for freedom in Italy. (It is not the same as free software
users. Users usually don't know about the freedom that is provided to
them by free software because they call it open source. So they do not
value their freedom.)
Perhaps you could make a web search for free software activists. They
are usually enthusiastic about the proposals of Richard Stallman, since
he is the best known free software activists and one of the founders of
the free software movement.

Thanks for your reply
I will search for sure for free software activists, and I will try to be in contact with Matias Fonzo.
For the javascript i'm using native trisquel distribution and i don't know if there is a native java script installed, but I honestly don't think that's the case
Have a nice day
Ciao
Abrowser interprets JavaScript by default. PeerTube is free software distributed under the terms of the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0: https://github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube

He is the developer of Dragora.

You are probably using the Javascript in your browser. But you can
check if it is free software by using the plugin for the browser named
LibreJS.
I have it blocked. So I cannot know. I decided to block it because,
although freedom is my primary consideration, it is not the only one. I
have taken security measures too. Javascript is often not very secure.

Hello, Daniele, welcome to the community! I am also a Trisquel user
from Indonesia. Glad to make new friends!
Sincerely yours,

Thanks for welcome
Nice to meet you ^_^
Hi Daniele I am italian too :D
welcome aboard
Wow another italian here, amazing!
Nice to meet you
Ciao
I love to eat Italian food, so I should basically be an honorary member of the Trisquel Italian group.
One does not simply walk into the Italian forum and ask for food.
Good point. You've got to start with a nice cappuccino.
you are welcome :D

If you have a link to the video you want to watch, then you can watch it in mpv with youtube-dl. I think the version of mpv and youtube-dl have to be recent though. I use the guix package manager on top of trisquel to get the newer versions of mpv and youtube-dl. There is another free program in the guix package repository called ytfzf which is a command line program that can be used to search for youtube and peertube videos. For peertube you do `ytfzf -c peertube`. You can subscribe channels over RSS but I am not sure how one would find the subscription link without opening up the peertube website with js turned on (If you have javascript on then all you need to do is find the channel, click subscribe, and then click subscribe via RSS, after that, you do not need to view the website with js anymore). Also peertube is released under the AGPL so I assume it is fine to whitelist on librejs. That being said, I really wished they would make it work with librejs so I wouldn't have to whitelist it.
I also did a simple search for 3rd party peertube clients and came up with these from here (This page requires js to view)
https://docs.joinpeertube.org/use-third-party-application
Web client that can watch peertube without javascript.
This one looks kinda like invidious but for peertube
https://simple-web.org/projects/simpleertube.html
There are also desktop clients
Cuttlefish: GNOME PeerTube client
https://gitlab.shinice.net/artectrex/Cuttlefish
peertube-viewer: Command line PeerTube client, similar to youtube-viewer
https://peertube-viewer.com/
peertube-cli: Command line PeerTube client.
https://github.com/dimethyltriptamine/peertube-cli
I remembered that I have used peertube-viewer before. It worked all right but I remember not liking it for some reason, I don't remember why.
