Strange note-field appearing @ boot of Triskel (kde)

Can somebody please help me understand how this note-field appears, and subsequently how to make it go away again? I have tried apt remove knotes, and rebooted, but it had no effect. The program seems to be running autonomously, meaning I can't see any indicator/starter for it anywhere.
Any help appreciated!

Did you try clicking on the gear for options to close it?
I see now. The easiest way to remove the note is to right-click the bottom area where you see the gear and a menu should pop up where you can click remove notes.

The note is part of a widget in kde, but it is not knote I am fairly sure. You can add widgets, by right-clicking on the Application Launcher in the panel. From there it should show a menu that allows you to search for the notes widget. You can add the widget to your panel by clicking on it. You can also add to the desktop by dragging it over.
