Suddenly cannot boot

I have a T440p flashed with SeaBIOS and running T12/Ecne with Cinnamon Desktop.
I wonder if the latter has anything to do with this because I often switch between two sessions/profiles (private and work). Sometimes the computer behaves a little strange when shifting between the two (mainly a few seconds waiting time and some graphics/lines on screen).
Suddenly I cannot boot the OS. When starting the computer I get an error: `loading initial ramdisk`. I cannot find useful information about this issue.
I have tried to let the computer cool, to take out and reinstate the sdd and the ram. No change. When I take out the sdd and boot from a usb start-up disk it works.
I suppose some file(s) on the sdd is damaged.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
You can check the disk itself and its filesystems from the live system. An easy way is through GNOME Disks that you can get on the live system: install the package named "gnome-disk-utility", as you would normally do, for instance using the "Synaptic Package Manager". After launching GNOME Disks, select the disk in the left-hand pane and test it (click on "SMART Data & Self-Tests..." in the burger menu and on the "Start Self-test" button) or click on any of its partitions and on the button with gears below, to check/repair its filesystem.
I don't know why, but I tried to take the sdd out and plug it in via usb. It also does not work (I am sure it has before).
Apparently it's all fine?
Is there a way to update seabios from a live system?
- or from within SeaBios?
If this is what you mean, it is definitely possible to reflash libreboot/canoeboot from a live CD as long as you have enough space for the package dependencies (flashprog) and the ROM files. The disadvantage being you can’t easily create a backup of the current ROM.
Stuff like this is why I moved to GNU Guix System so I can just roll back.
I never managed to solve this issue and ended up reinstalling trisquel...

I just ran into the exact same issue.
I fear I will have to reinstall again. I also cannot open in safe mode.
I cannot tell for sure, but I suspect (as I did the last time) that having a lot of open tabs in Mullvad Browser is related - I think this sounds crazy, but still...
I open disks from a live-USB and found a partition which needed to be fixed, which I did.
When booting the live/USB I get some error messages related to hardware and something is not *initialized*, yet it opens...
Any ideas?

In fact I have the exact same issue right now. Not even 24 after the fresh install I have the same issue.
Grub opens, but
* When I choose Trsiquel, i.e. ordinary mode, I just the the frozen background image. No text no nothing.
* When I choose recovery mode, it freezes with "Loading Linux 6.8.0-90-generic... Loading initial ramdisk..." on the background
And no more happens.
I tried to take out the harddisk and start from a live-USB (T12).
It opens very slowly and at some point gives me these messages:

I have the same (or a similar) message Yesterday when trying to get life into the machine but I don't recall well, when, in which order and so.
I contacted Thomas from Vikings.net, who helped me flash Seabios to the coumputer.
He suggests (without having had his hands on the device) that the problem might be with trisquel.
Since I have experienced this more than once, I would like to report an issue. Unfortunately, when I try, my browser gives me a warning, that "Vær forsigtig. Noget ser ikke rigtigt ud.

These specific "error" message is unrelated to the topic of this post.
Thomas from Vikings.net was so kind to explain that this message is in fact not problematic. Rather it is to be celetrated, as it demonstrates that Intel ME is not run on the computer.

When I pull out the hdd and use as a USB device, it works.
So, why not when the it is properly installed?
Hello, would it be possible for you to provide some logs? If you cannot boot maybe you could copy the logs from Live system?
