I visited Chris' website today and saw this:

Trisquel 7 isn't supported ... would an early iso of Trisquel 8 work?

Is there a hardware switch to electrically disable the integrated webcam
and built-in microphone?

If this is mentioned on the page I didn't notice the mention of such a switch.

I assume it contains the Intel ME (and therefore would not be compatible with Libreboot), if it contains a 'quad-core i7' chip?

None of the machines that ThinkPenguin sells can be used with libreboot.

You should be fine on T7 if you just update your Linux.
