I was at devel page of Trisquel and see the new folder "toutatis" and it is a next LTS version based in Precise (Ubuntu 12.04)[1]
Trisquel 6 is coming =)

My body is ready
I'm very glad to hear it.
Let us hope that it will be a milestone in the history of trisquel
I am just waiting for this release. The exact day that it came out I will install it on all my computers as the unique OS :D
Can't wait until the release !
well, I am still discovering, enjoying and loving Brigantia
I don't enjoy Brigantia.
It eats a lot of laptop battery and hangup in some situations.
You should try the latest Linux-libre. You can easily install it by adding this repository.
Is it compatible with Brigantia?
I mean , does it make any dependency problem after installation?
No dependency outside the repository, no. Jason Self is a Trisquel user. This repository works like a charm.
His repository is freedom friendly and it does not create problems elsewhere. The libre-kernel works better than the mainline kernel because it lacks the non-free bits.
I can't agree on this one (but maybe it is because of the interaction between the chair and the computer), because every time that I install the libre-kernel over the "official" kernel from trisquel, I start having problems with virtualbox complaining that vboxdrv is not available (even if I reinstall it after that).
Aww yes-
It is an oversimplified statement that does not take into account a few corner cases. This includes at least some devices with firmware such as the AR9170 chipset. However the statement still should generally hold true. More so for the libre-kernel distributions than the mainline kernel.
The problem with Virtual Box is the program's code is not up standards for inclusion in the mainline kernel. Linus has attacked it before if my memory serves me right. As a result you may run into problems.
If anybody else's memory is better than mine on this issue feel free to correct me.
I didn't said that it was a bad idea to use it xD I use it myself, and I clearly prefer to not use Virtualbox then not having a lot of driver improvements here and there :D
Maybe I misunderstood myself sorry about that xD
PS: The problem comes from the fact that he can't find the module on the linux-libre-headers, but I didn't had the time to see if the problem came from a problem in linking (maybe from the official linux-libre package) or from Virtualbox itself.
>every time that I install the libre-kernel over the "official" kernel from trisquel
Trisquel uses Linux-libre. The configuration can differ slightly. You can check that by comparing the config files in /boot for both kernels. And you can make your own choises and then compile it, it's not very difficult.
I'm wating Toutatis...

Arizona Department of Game and Fish ?
There is one 533mb iso in the devel channel -> http://devel.trisquel.info/makeiso/iso/
Thanks of the info. Will have to try it right away :D
Well, that was a quick test. It was Brigantia and not Toutatis. Don't waste your time testing the trisquel_6.0-20121008_i686.iso
Huh? It is Toutatis. Look at the package versions. The first package alphabetically, 0ad, was introduced in precise, and is not in upstream oneiric and neither in brigantia. gnome-panel is version 3.4. Kernel is version 3.2. Looks an awful lot like it's based on Ubuntu 12.04.
Ooops, it seems that I somehow accidentally burned Brigantia O_o
What a shame xD It looked like Brigantia, behaved like Brigantia, and it had Brigantia repos in sources.list. And it was Brigantia because of my mistake.
Thanks of the criticism!
This is excellent news.
Indeed.
Now I have tested it on the laptop:
+LiveCD loading screen identify itself as Trisquel 6.0
-first login failed
+making a user "trisquel" on the console and restarting GDM made autologin to desktop
+installation works
-theme issues, text on some windows had about the same colour as the background
-default www-browser is Midori
-Epiphany and Abrowser unavailable in the repos
-LibreOffice not included on the disk
+Libreoffice can be installed from the official repo
I will install Toutatis on my main machine after I have written abstract for my bachelelor's thesis. After that I give finishing touch to my thesis with Toutatis. Can't test good enough if not tested on real life usage *nuts* :D
One important thing: System Tools (-> Preferences, -> Administration) from gnome 2 is back. No need to open gnome-control-center (System Settings) to make admin tasks anymore (or use synapse for that matter). This was a common complaint in Brigantia.
