Hi Triskel users!
I would like my system to automatically check for all available updates (system, packages, anything that can be updated) and maybe even installs them automatically.
In the manual I can only find a description for Trisquel not Triskel with the KDE Desktop.
Bonus: Triskel notifies me if package-updates are available

Your help is much appreciated.

I have heard about two such applications on this forum:

1. muon: https://apps.kde.org/muon
2. discover: https://apps.kde.org/discover

Both seem to be available for Triskel 9 and Triskel 10.

Thank you prospero for your recommendation. I've tried KDE Discover but it does not work very well (at least with my system). I'll give muon a try.

One thing I still don't quite get is how different package managers work. Is there a difference in what installed packages a certain package manager can "see"?
I'm afraid that if I'm using only one specific package manager for updates, it will miss certain packages.

So the question is: Different package managers use different (app) repositories, right? Can one package manager only see the installed packages from a repository it is connected with?

They all use the same repositories. Nevertheless, "Add/Remove Applications" only lists desktop applications.

Handbrake is a desktop program, and arent possible to install with Add/Remove Applications, Is easy to find in synaptic or in terminal with 'apt search programname'
