I'm not a big fan of Facebook and wasn't delighted to find out their links on trisquel.info. If you log out and go to e.g. http://trisquel.info/en/trisquel-gnulinux-40-international-dvd you will see a row of links (see attachment) that includes Facebook.

Facebook commercializes your relationships and disregards and abuses your privacy. Richard Stallman is very much against Facebook and you can find more material on his linked homepage.

I propose the link be removed.

I'm on your side with Facebook, but I do not believe that the icon from the page you linked is in any way promoting that dreadful place mentioned above.

Promoting would be having a message pop up and say "Hey user! Click this button now to share on Facebook!" or similar.

I am also against facebook. I deleted mine and stopped using it for the reasons mentioned above. However, The link to Richard Stallman's website it also says on the top of the website that anything on there is his own personal view and not the view of the FSF or GNU project.

So while I am against facebook if other people want to use it is their business. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to get the word out on Trisquel either. Thus I am going to have to put a neutral vote (kinda a cop out I know) on this subject. If you want to remove it that is fine. If you keep it that is also fine.
