Trisquel mini - Audio and streaming problem

Hello everyone,
a friend of mine wanted to format her computer (Samsung R730), so I told her to try the trisquel mini live and see if she likes it. Things was going good but:
When a youtube video is opened with midori works fine for few seconds and then the browser just crashes and close;
When a youtube video is opened with icecat it gives "An error occurred, please try again later."
When a Vimeo video is opened the audio is working but not the video;
Any other streaming just does not work (plain black);
when a video or an mp3 file is opened the audio is not working.
gnash is activated, javascript for those pages enabled, don't know how to proceed.
I got a bit frustrated 'cause she was close to install it but this thing scared her a bit.
I am not a trisquel user but it's my distro of choice for people coming from windows.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Why not try to deactivate (well, perhaps uninstall) gnash and see if YouTube works, at least with Icecat.
