Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 to now get rapid release Firefox

Finally!

I use the Mozilla Stable PPA and this is big news with one less dependence on a PPA. This is also good for Trisquel when they tweak Abrowser and can have backported Firefox ready for Trisquel 4 and above.

:) I think the old system was better. The problem is everybody else moved. Kinda forces things forward.

I run the LTS version of Trisquel (4.1) and really didn't want to be stuck on Firefox 3.6 unless I upgraded the OS. That is what was nice about the PPA in the past.

The official repositories try to keep up with the Chromium Stable PPA but are a release or so behind at this point. Heck, its better than being stuck on an ancient version though: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid-updates/chromium-browser
