I have Trisquel 11 installed on a UEFI computer right now, the one I'm writing this from.[1] I don't recall having any trouble with it at all. Maybe there's something wrong with your DVD or DVD drive? Also UEFI has lots of different settings, you may need to turn off secure-boot and turn on legacy-boot, or something of that nature. I'm no expert on all the options, but if you ask questions about UEFI options I can compare it to mine and tell you what I see and what seems to work.

Also one reason that some computers freeze when booting from a live DVD or live USB is because the graphics card they are using isn't supported. If you can add "nomodeset" as a boot-time option, that might help you to get booted and to help diagnose if it's a graphics card problem. I might be recalling this incorrectly, but I think this is especially the case when you have an Intel laptop with additional nVidia graphics.

[1] In fact, I think I have Trisquel 11 on the main partition on every computer, except one 12-year-old laptop with Hyperbola. And probably one 17-year-old mini-tower with 32-bit antiX-Libre respin which I haven't powered on for a year or so. I think 3 of my computers have different variations of UEFI.

I burned the disk on that drive. I used the disk on the computer I am using now so I know it works. I should go into the security settings again. I wanted to keep microsoft I had some data I wanted to save. Maybe I will get rid of it and start over from scratch. I reset some settings and now I can not get into microsoft anymore. Are there more drivers on Trisquel 11 than there are Trisquel 10. The disk I have is 10. I have a intel desktop tower I got new in 2019. Maybe I will want to work on it more when I get over being mad at microsoft for trying to take over my computer and telling me what to do.

Trisquel 11 might have more drivers, and certainly newer ones. Also it will have a newer kernel and graphics stack which will be able to handle more devices. I'm running it on a ~2019 laptop, and another that I think is from 2020 or 2021. I think I recall having more trouble getting prior versions of Trisquel to work on newer hardware, but Trisquel 11 has been fantastic in that regard.
