I suspect that Rubén didn't have the time to continue them. But now that the FSF is down to one sysadmin (Rubén himself) I think that he will have even less time now, at least until a replacement sysadmin is hired.
I'm quite busy at the moment but I'm trying my best to find time for the project. I think I should focus on T7 updates and security for a while, and come back to T8 development as soon as I can (even if it is tempting to spend time with the new toy!). I'll publish updates as I go along.
No worries. It's just that it was exciting to see the development progress for Trisquel 8.
