What happened to hugin ?

Nabia has hugin; aramo does not. Rumor has it that there is a plug-in for GIMP that will stitch images together to form panoramas, but the forum's search term gimp plug-ins" elicits a "forbidden" response with a 403 error code. I shortened the search term to gimp and found many queries about plug-ins in fifty pages of search results, but nothing positive. There's a "browse plug-ins" menu item in GIMP, but no hint for finding new plug-ins.
Would Fotoxx do the same? It has several functions.
Fotoxx has a panorama function, but the PT panorama function depends on pano tools, which is part of hugin.
I tried fotoxx on a set of four images that hugin (in Trisquel_10) can handle, but fotoxx expects more user
input that I need to learn how to do.
Hugin indeed seems to be absent from upstream Jellyfish 22.04, for untold reasons:

It looks like it was back from vacation in Kudu 22.10, so I may try to install the 22.10 package and see what happens next.
EDIT: and yes, the search tool is currently throwing a 403 if you type more than one word in the search box.

What happened next was to be expected: a chain of unmet dependencies, so I decided to follow that dependency chain until I met its end, dead or else. All in all, it was only eight deb packages to download and install in the proper order, and hugin is now up and running on Aramo. Just follow what GDebi tells you.
EDIT: hugin is available in previous versions of Trisquel, and I only found free software licenses in those packages. This is nonetheless an out-of-repo adventure in the current Aramo version, so using caution is strongly advised.
amenex or anyone one else interested please open an issue so we can check if it's possible to reintroduce it.
