XFCE + Trisquel 7: Add printer

After installing and running xfce I have tried to install a printer. I have installed this lots of times before but in xfce I find no app to add printers!
When logging in to the standard DE I can find the add printer function via setting/configuration (translated from Danish) and it finds my network printer. But I get the message that it cannot be installed. It is a HP officejet 6500A plus.
Any suggestions for a solution?

Try with 'system-config-printer', a command that the package "system-config-printer-gnome" provides (i.e., this package must be installed beforehand).
