Apparently the author of the said code agreed to license under the MIT. http://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=84355

So, now this change needs to be reflected in the "about" data in the code:

KAboutData aboutData("kdepasswd", 0, ki18n("KDE passwd"),
KDE_VERSION_STRING, ki18n("Changes a UNIX password."),
