A few weeks ago I tried to download some fonts into Trisquel and I got some positive results but not nearly as much as I expected. Today I notice, D-A-H-H, in HOME that I have a magically appearing folder called "fontconfig" containing 30 files of type "cache-3"; none of which "Could Be Displayed" in my Trisquel system when clicked upon. 1)Are "cache-3's" non free software?
2) Can I move these "cache-3's" into another folder in the programming system so that my desired fonts will function? 3) Or does anyone have suggestions for downloading some "wild" (in every sense of the word) fonts?
Why is this not in the forum?
There are plenty of fonts in the repos, http://packages.trisquel.info/search?suite=belenos&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=ttf
Some more free fonts here https://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/ (under SIL Open Font License)
This issue is not in the forum because I'm not terribly familiar with this site and don't really even get on the net that often. But I will take my next issue there which concerns why, with my 7.0 upgrade, my computer is stretching all my jpegs horizontally.
Thanks for the font links.
