Quaternion fails to show the chat history

When using Quaternion in a room, the program does not show the chat history of the room, nor the messages sent.
I'm using Trisquel 9.0.0

quaternion in etiona is locked to 0.0.5, please use guix package (0.0.9.4f ), or try trisquel nabia (0.0.9.4c)
