I am not able to restart "normally" with the new kernel (2.6.35-27) and my old ati radeon 9200 64mb card.
If i try to restart, i get constantly a massive text flood with an error (like: [drm_radeon_ttm...]...ERROR ...to bind 1280 pages at 0x000...) and it don't boots...
But if i press the pause/break key and hold it, then the flood stops and it restarts correctly.
(If i try shutdown, i get a short flood, but shutdown works.)
It seems to be related to the new kernel, because i tried to boot slaine with old kernel (2.6.32-29) from taranis and this works with the restart.
Reinstalling the 2.6.35-27 kernel did not help.
I compiled newer kernels and had same problem... for me it seems to be related to the blinking trisquel graphic, or the resolution, when switching from gnome to restart/shutdown... but not sure.
(I didnt test further, because i installed a geforce fx 5200 now in my good ol pc, and all is fine :) )
Closing because you said you installed the new card and things are working. If you or anyone else experiences this bug down the road and wishes to dive deeper into it please re-open this bug.
