Transmission nag screen

Descripción

When you first time start Transmission, you're greeted with this disgusting modal popup. trans.png

It needs to go.

Either that or give GIMP a similar popup saying "GIMP is an image manipulation program. When you edit pictures, make sure you don't produce any illegal graphics." and Gnucash one saying "Don't use Gnucash to plan economical frauds" and so on. This is just crazy. Ubuntu may treat its users like toddlers. But Trisquel is not Ubuntu.

Ive never had this issue, and I use transmission all the time. Could you give us a screen shot please?

If you want to see the box, rename your ~/.config/transmission to something else and then start transmission. (then rename it back)

Here's the ugly box: http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/2429/screenshotunledwindow.png

This message comes from the developers of Transmission, not from Ubuntu. I agree that it should be removed.

But Ubuntu didn't remove it. Neither did Trisquel, for now.

Due to the author's idea about the screen, we think that this nag screen can be useful for users in some countries, so this bug is closed as wont'fix
