As you can see this does not recommend proprietary software. If your output is different please add ALL of it here. Otherwise please say what proprietary software it recommends and give the steps needed to recreate the offending output.
I seem to have filed against wrong version. On version 5.5 arch amd64 the output is (regardless if the package is installed)
$ apt-cache show gkermit

Description-en: A serial and network communications package
G-Kermit is a GPL'd kermit package. It offers medium-independent terminal
session and file transfer. The non-free package ckermit adds connection
establishment, character-set translation and scripting features.

That mentioned package is not included in Trisquel atm. Looks like it's in multiverse (suggesting non-free) in ubuntu and non-free in debian. However, the actual licensing details of the newer version in ubuntu seem like a bsd license which is free. Note the version numbers.
As of version 9 ckermit is not proprietary software but in fact free software. So the bug isn't quite that it recommends non-free software it is that the description is incorrect and ckermit should not be labeled as of free software (at least version 9 isn't.)
Thank you for your bug report.

The version with a free software license is now in Trusty multiverse. Accordingly I've coded and tested a patch[1] to pull it in to Belenos.

Changing status after seeing what SirGrant does.
Another patch has been accepted but not this. Assigning myself for the rework.
This might or might not be a duplicate https://trisquel.info/en/issues/12442
Revised patches have been posted to trisquel-devel starting with this one:

rework
The work on the patch is being tracked in this DI https://devel.trisquel.info/leny2010/package-helpers/issues/3
Closed the Merge Request and DI - back to upstream for what is now a minor documentation error.
Still in 7.0
