Having never liked Macs, I have used IBM compatibles since the early 90's. For many years after migrating from MS-DOS to Win, I called myself a "DOS die-hard." In the late oughts, MS began moving more drastically away from the things on which I had relied over the years. I began looking to open-source projects when I needed software and have found many excellent options. As the last step away from MS, I have begun my migration from Win to GNU/Linux just this month (Jan., 2013) by installing Trisquel along-side Win. Due to my hectic schedule, migrating completely may take much longer than I want.
