Icedove notification sound playing on loop until the user stops it

Is this possible?

Yes yes Jxself, I know I know in free software etc. But is it possible for a lay person without coding skills. Like in preferences or something.

In the preferences for Icedove I see it is possible to choose a custom sound file to play once a message arrives, but as far as I know that sound just plays once and it is not stoppable once started.
