Things are working in live session that don't work in the installation

I am writing this from a live session of Trisquel mini 7. And i am using the browser Midori.
Everything is working fine, i don't have the problem with Midori that i experience at my installed system: http://trisquel.info/en/issues/15753
Midori even proposes me urls rapidly when i begin to type them (even after closing and restarting the program) - in my installed system it doesn't do that with all the urls i enter regularly.
Additionally, i can even start Synaptic graphically, which is not possible at the installed Trisquel mini, as several people have stated. The problem is actually that a polkit package is missing. It is addressed here: http://trisquel.info/en/issues/15394
Those polkit packages are obviously missing in the live system, too (while policykit-1 is installed - why does that one not do the job after installation?).
Why are these things working in the live session?
