I have a spare desktop which I installed Trisquel 8 on to test different hardware. I chose to encrypt the startup. It installs and works save for one issue: Upon startup when it wants my password it won't accept any key presses. I have tried two different keyboards, one USB and one PS2. What I have found as a workaround is to restart the PC at the password prompt and then it will go back to the password prompt but this time instead of the Trisquel background it is just a black screen and I am able to use the keyboard to enter the password. I installed Trisquel 9 on a spare drive and it doesn't have this issue. I also tried to update the default kernel Trisquel 8 ships with to the Linux-Libre 5.6 kernel but the issue remains. I didn't see this issue on the issue list, should I add it even though Trisquel 9 seems to have fixed this ? Has anybody encountered this issue ?
