Error when opening Redshift (MacBook Pro 9.1)

The preinstalled package "Redshift" in Trisquel 8 (on a MacBook Pro 9.1) outputs this error when I attempt to open it:

"Failed to run Redshift
Trying location provider `geoclue2'...
Unable to connect to GeoClue.
Unable to get location from provider."

Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.
