Description

When turning on my computer today, it has reverted to QWERTY. Tried System Settings -> Keyboard Layout and rebooted. No effect. Sorry for terseness, but it's very difficult to type.

Try editing /etc/default/keyboard (system-wide), or copying it to ~/.console-setup.keyboard (user-only) and editing it there. AFAIK, the system-wide affects not only the TTY interfaces (generally alt+F[1-6]), but also GDM -- perhaps KDM and others too; the user-only should be loaded after you login in GDM, but I never tested it.

The specific names you need to know are available in files under /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ or ..../rules/ .

It seems to be fixed now. I guess it was fixed by some update.

Update: This problem is caused when I close Orca before logging in.

If I turn on the computer and do not close Orca, the Dvorak keymap works fine.

IIRC, after I installed the official Trisquel 6 amd64 release, the login screen no longer starts Orca, so this issue is probably solved.
