xfs does not have a way to shrink partitions and unless one specifically need the kind of performance that xfs has, it should not be the default file system. I took the default partitioning scheme and now I cannot install any other distro on my system because trisquel took all the available space and there is no way to shrink the partitions.
Our next release will use ext4 as default, to achieve the same performance without this downside. I'll create a "next release features" wiki page starting with this one, so I'm closing the bug now.
