[GNU FSDG] 'Get More Tools' in 'Web Developer' submenu of Abrowser opens Firefox Add-ons website.

Project:Trisquel
Version:8.0
Component:Misc
Category:bug report
Priority:blocking
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:closed
Description

The 'Get More Tools' in 'Developer' submenu (obtained by clicking IceCat main menu > Developer > Get More Tools) opens up the following URL, which is a broken link:-

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/icecat/collections/mozilla/webdeveloper/

The correct link to web developer tools is:-

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collections/mozilla/webdeveloper/

Except we don't want to link there as some of those addons are non-free.

When you add addons on the Trisquel website, you have to specify tags. Is there a way to view all addons with a specific tag?
Because then, a "webdev" tag could be created, and Abrowser/IceCat could redirect users to the list of all addons with that tag.

(BTW, 10 of those addons are free.)

Also present in Abrowser. This is a GNU FSDG issue because the link suggested would also steer people towards a repo without the GNU FSDG guarantee.

The file that needs to be changed is browser/base/content/browser-sets.inc (search for devtoolsMenuBroadcaster_GetMoreTools)

grep -ri 'mozilla\.org/.*abrowser' will reveal quite a few more similarly broken URLs.

Version:7.0» 8.0

Get More Tools in Web Developer submenu obtained by clicking the hamburger button in toolbar of Abrowser 68.0.2 (64-bit) now opens Firefox Add-ons website[1].

This should actually be opening Trisquel's web browser add-ons website[2] or about:addons.

Can somebody check if the latest version of GNU IceCat web browser has this issue?
