Abrowser from version 32 onwards send the downloaded files information to a Google server with the justification of prevent malware, but this is at the same time almost useless to a updated GNU/Linux system and also threatening to users privacy.
in "about:config": "browser.safebrowsing.appRepURL" should have a blank value.
Sniffed traffic with wireshark, saw no such connection. Safebrowsing is disabled by default in the config, and afaik this only works in windows anyways.
