Have downloaded and installed Trisquel 9 mini and MATE. Rebooted after install all ok.
Problems occur after running and installing available updates.
Updates download and install all ok.
Rebooted.
During boot-up, Trisquel Plymouth screen shows ok. Text login prompt shows briefly.
Screen in graphics mode as if X is trying to load. Screen drops out to text mode. X tries loading again and stops.
If the power button is pressed, the shutdown Plymouth screen is shown and the machine turns off.
X seems to be crashing.
Both MATE and Mini are having the same problem.
I don't know what key combinations to stop booting and exit a command prompt
I tried the dist-upgrade after a fresh install. Upgrade 9 installed ok but after a reboot but the same video issues.
It seems it maybe the X-server crashing or "Connection refused" as the same thing happened on a non-libreboot laptop
Just got a T60 and that works fine on mini9 until the latest updates are installed. Now wont boot.
Using Ctrl+alt+F2 i get to a prompt. Running startx creates a very generic xfce desktop
Please provide updated information.
Is this still and issue?
When filling a report about updates breaking something, always try to provide information at /var/log/apt/history.log
Otherwise its very difficult to determine what update might have applied.
