Can't resize images using right-click menu in Mate Desktop

Description

Any attempt to resize an image using the right-click menu in caja (Mate Desktop) ends with the error message "Check whether you have permission to write this folder". Rotate Works as intended.
Tested with *.jpg *.png.
Reinstalled system, same issue.
Trying to modify permissions in folder or file, same result.
