When you try to run a .exe file which have no executable permissions, a messange appears:
"The file X is not marked as executable. If this was downloaded or copied from an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run. For more details, read about the executable bit."

Issue still present in Trisquel version 8.0.
Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.
