Package apt contains documentation that suggests
"contrib non-free" (debian's proprietary repos) in
/usr/share/doc/apt/examples/apt-https-method-example.conf.gz
and
"restricted" (ubuntu's proprietary repo) in
/usr/share/doc/apt/examples/sources.list
Marked Trisquel Bug# 5344 (APT needs a patch to become free-software-friendly (confirmed at least for Trisquel 4.5, 5.5)) as a duplicate of this bug
Related Bug:
gNewSense GNU/Linux - Bugs: bug #29724 (example sources.list suggests non-free repositories.)
I reported the same bug but it disappeared...
I reported this also on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/992054), and I proposed a patch for these two distributions.
Here's my patch : https://launchpadlibrarian.net/103645004/fix-source-list-example-restricted.patch.txt
If someone could review it and add it to the package...
Oops, I didn't saw it was marked as a duplicate of mine, sorry.
Fixed in apt_0.8.16~exp12ubuntu10.7+6.0trisquel2
