Abrowser – FIPS not working in 5.0 and 5.5

Description

Hi all!

Some time after upgrading to 5.0 I realized that I cannot open
Firefox/Abrowser profile with enabled FIPS (It was enabled before the upgrade, so with Firefox 3.6).

I got the following message:
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most
likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile
directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write
restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is
recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you
continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application
behaviour when accessing security features.

and found a bug report about a problem with the checksums of libnss3-1d
v 3.12.6.

The problem was fixed some times ago and I've checked – the checksums are available by me, so it must be something else. I have enough
space on the partition and rw permissions for the appropriate user.

I tried with hope upgrading to 5.5 but it didn't change anything and I
have no idea what's happening.

If you have ideas for more complex testing, just let me know!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Trisquel better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
