[GFSD Issue] Package z88dk has non-free files

Project:Trisquel
Version:6.0
Component:Programs
Category:bug report
Priority:blocking
Assigned:upstream
Status:closed
Description

While reviewing the package z88dk I noticed these various files indicate a non-commercial restriction. The FSF's Free Software Definition indicates that a free program must be available for commercial use, commercial development, and commercial distribution.

libsrc/oz/ozinterrupt/ozcustomisr.asm
test/machine/Z80/CodesCB.h
test/machine/Z80/CodesED.h
test/machine/Z80/Codes.h
test/machine/Z80/CodesXCB.h
test/machine/Z80/CodesXX.h
test/machine/Z80/ConDebug.c
test/machine/Z80/Debug.c
test/machine/Z80/Tables.h
test/machine/Z80/Z80.c
test/machine/Z80/Z80.h

I also submitted this to Debian:

That last link ends very ominously, Administrator dom writes:

"I've scanned through some of the projects that Marat references and all the ones I looked at included the source code.

But, I really can't be bothered with this side issue anymore.

The build now depends on having wget, a working networking connection and Marat's website running and his links never changing."

So, sounds like the new version is pulling the non-free (distribution prohibited) source. This move might make this legal but it still remains non-free.

Umm, I suggest that remove to archive (Its simple), or replace non-free code to free code (if possible).

This package is removed for gnewsense repos.
See: http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?39054

thanks.
