The 11.0.x LTS edition, codename Aramo.

Aramo is a long term support (LTS) version in development. It is based on Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish).

Trisquel 11.0, is the first release with x86_64, ARM32, ARM64 and PowerPC architectural support.

Current status: ALPHA (in development)

Software versions and distro editions

This release is based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and as always it contains only free software, including:

• Internet
  • Abrowser 106.x, as default web browser for MATE, KDE, LDXE desktop environments.
  • Icedove 102.x, as default email client for MATE and KDE desktop.

• Ofimatic Suite
  • LibreOffice, 7.3.x at the time of writing.

• Linux-libre based kernels tracking upstream,
  • 5.15.x
  • future 5.x upstream release.

• Backports, several key packages added/updated through the backports repository, use with care.

• Notable mention to,
  • freedom-maker, a package to build completely free trisquel based instances, many thanks to bill-auger.
  • Over 230+ packages modified by the trisquel project just for this release, several bug fixes and maintenance patches.

Work in progress

debian-installer: working on the continuity of this installer tool for trisquel dropped by upstream.

Pending:

• trisquel-sugar: 3 known upstream (SugarLabs) bugs for Aramo.
• trisquel-app-installer: l10n and branding re-work MR.
