Since we started our donating program a year and a half ago, and then the membership program a year after that, we already demonstrated we have an awesome community. We currently have around 30 members and donations keep going up. Thanks so much!
But still, we are very far from our goal of having 100 supporting members before 2012. If you are still not a member, we compel you to join in and help make this project economically self-sustained. And if you are a member, we ask you to brag about it as much as you can! Tell others about the project, ask fellow users to join, write about it in your blogs and social palatforms, be Trisquel ambassadors.
By the way, we will soon be adding a new benefit to the membership, a XMPP/Jabber account matching your email address.

Trisquelizando en Mexicali, BC, México
El pasado 20 de octubre del 2011 se llevo a cabo un Installfest en las instalaciones del Instituto Tecnológico de Mexicali (ITM), en el marco de su 30 aniversario. El festival de instalación de software fue un esfuerzo conjunto de José Luis Juárez Viveros, Luis Vega y Fernando Michel, así como del grupo Open Source Mexicali y el soporte de los estudiantes de ingeniería en sistemas.
Durante las instalaciónes asistieron estudiantes de las diferentes carreras del ITM, para instalar en sus computadora el sistema operativo Trisquel GNU/Linux, mismas instalaciones que previamente se acompañaron de las las conferencias “Aprender y emprendiendo con Software Libre” dictada por Daniel Rodríguez y “El cambio de paradigma entre el software como servicio y la cultura hacker” por Jacobo Nájera.
